EAGLE program
system has been worked out as a complex solution of automation of
archives-keeping on the basis of relational DB-servers. The system has
been realized in client-server architecture. EAGLE complex is destined
for electronic cataloguing of the existing archives and electronic
documents. The system is installed in LAN of archives. It
can work as autonomous archives of electronic documents and as a hybrid
variant when paper documents that are saved in office archives, are
taken in account as well as electronic office documents.
Graphical image of documents which is made by the means of
scanning is chosen as a basis variant of electronic documents. The
program can use any type of scanner that is compatible with TWAIN
standard. It provides a wide range of settings of the scanning modes and
settings of saving with various levels of compression. In addition to
this, the system expansion to the saving of any type of electronic
documents such as Microsoft Office documents, Lotus documents, text
files and so on is possible. So, the system is ready for saving and
processing full electronic archives of the offices. The system easily
adapts to any type of servers which support SQL 92 language and any
document format.
The program has been worked out for Windows operating systems. It
has got a contemporary interface which is designed in separated
independent windows. Each of them is displayed in taskbar, so that the
user could easily switch between the windows of different tasks.
For example, between "search criteria" window and "adding
data" window, "editing data" window and "search
result" window. That allows us to make user's work easier as
well as to accelerate the boring adding-editing data process.
